COVID-19 Testing

Our state-of-the-art CAP and CLIA certified laboratory is the only independent specialty laboratory in the Mid-Atlantic states to offer RT-PCR SARS-CoV2 testing, the most accurate test available.

For the health and safety of our patients and staff, some patients may be asked to take a COVID test before coming for an in-office visit or procedure. You must complete your COVID test within 96 hours of your scheduled procedure date. Results will be posted to your patient portal account in time for you to begin any pre-procedure preparation. In the event of a positive result, your procedure will need to be canceled and a physician will call you directly to review next steps.

What to Expect

Patients will receive information about the COVID-19 test at the time of scheduling.  The test is a simple nasal swab, typically performed as a self-swab in one of our offices under the supervision of our clinical care team.  For the safety of our staff, patients who are symptomatic or who have had a known exposure to someone who was diagnosed with COVID-19 will need to complete this test at home via a telehealth visit.   For more details of the nasal swab method, please review our instructional video.

How to Prepare

There is no requred preparation required before your COVID-19 test, but patients are urged to review and follow the instructions carefully.
