Capital Digestive Care is pleased to welcome Michael Eiswerth, DO, to our Virginia Beach First Colonial office. Dr. Eiswerth cares for patients with a wide range of digestive and liver conditions and has a special interest in colon cancer screening and prevention, inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), esophageal disorders, and liver disease.
Dr. Eiswerth is committed to building strong relationships with his patients and helping them achieve their health goals. He takes a team-based, patient-centered approach to care, partnering with patients to understand their needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
“The opportunity to impact the health and wellness of others and serve my community has always driven me to become a physician,” Dr. Eiswerth said.
In addition to caring for patients, Dr. Eiswerth has been involved in gastroenterology research and has authored publications on a variety of digestive health topics. His research has included esophageal disorders and liver disease including alcohol-related liver disease and non-invasive liver disease testing; reflecting his commitment to advancing the field and improving patient care.
Outside of the office, Dr. Eiswerth enjoys spending time with his wife, Courtney, their young son, and their two miniature Australian shepherds. He also enjoys hiking, golfing, running, and cheering on his hometown Cleveland sports teams.
