Capital Digestive Care is pleased to welcome Emma Laura Gash, FNP-C, to our Norfolk Doctors’ Office.
Emma is a family nurse practitioner who is committed to providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She believes in creating a collaborative environment where patients feel comfortable asking questions, discussing concerns, and participating in decisions about their health.
Inspired by her sister’s experience with type 1 diabetes, Emma pursued a career in healthcare to combine her passion for science with the opportunity to help others. She is interested in all aspects of gastroenterology and looks forward to building relationships with patients while helping them achieve their health goals.
“I value being a part of my patients’ lives and having the opportunity to help them become the healthiest versions of themselves,” Emma said. “I especially enjoy getting to the root cause of a patient’s concerns and helping them understand what is happening and why. I believe that when patients better understand their health, they feel more confident and empowered in their care.”
When not working, Emma enjoys reading, playing mahjong, going on walks, and cooking with her husband.
