Capital Digestive Care is pleased to welcome Ingrid Ortiz, MSN, NP‑BC, to our Williamsburg and Newport News locations. Ingrid is a board-certified nurse practitioner who is passionate about connecting with patients and supporting their overall well-being through compassionate, patient-centered care.
She brings a thoughtful, whole-person approach to care, with a strong focus on listening and understanding each patient’s needs.
“My approach to patient care is rooted in listening and understanding,” Ingrid said. “I believe effective care begins with truly hearing my patients’ concerns and I strive to ensure they fully understand their condition, treatment options, and overall health.”
Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Ingrid worked as a nurse practitioner in urology and spent many years as a registered nurse in emergency and trauma care. She also served as a hospital supervisor and a lead nurse in a GI lab, where she assisted with advanced procedures such as endoscopies, colonoscopies, EUS, and ERCPs.
Outside of work, Ingrid enjoys spending time with her family, attending church, and exploring creative hobbies such as crafting, cooking, and quilting.
