Fallsgrove Endoscopy Center in Rockville, MD has earned The Joint Commission’s Gold Seal of Approval for Ambulatory Care Accreditation.  As an affiliate of Capital Digestive Care, the facility was rewarded for demonstrating continuous compliance with its performance standards. Last month, Fallsgrove Endoscopy Center underwent a rigorous, unannounced onsite review by the commission which evaluated its standards in several areas including emergency management, environment of care, infection prevention/control, leadership, and medication management. The Joint Commission, the nation’s oldest and largest accrediting body in health care, awards the Gold Seal to organizations that reflect a high level of commitment to providing safe, quality patient care.

Fallsgrove Endoscopy Center uses the latest technology in endoscopy and colonoscopy to treat patients in a personalized, caring environment focusing on digestive care. “We are honored to receive the Joint Commission accreditation in recognition of our unwavering commitment to excellence in patient care and safety,” said Dr. Olanma Okoji, Medical Director of Fallsgrove Endoscopy Center. “I’m proud of the Fallsgrove team for continuing to provide exceptional care in this challenging environment and for the months of planning and preparation they devoted to the accreditation process.” The facility is staffed by a team of experienced GI physicians.  They recently held a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the official grand opening.
