Capital Digestive Care’s C.O.O. Earns a Top Service Award from CCFA

Kevin Harlen, MSPH, FACHE, was presented with the Crohn’s and Colitis Foundation of America’s (CCFA) Distinguished Service Award on November 17th during the CCFA “Evening of Hope” gala at the Willard Intercontinental Hotel in Washington, DC. ​

​In addition to his role as Chief Operating Officer for Capital Digestive Care, Mr. Harlen is the Treasurer for the CCFA Greater Washington DC/Virginia Chapter Board of Trustees where he has also served as Chair of the National Capital Area Take Steps Walk since 2010. Under his leadership, Capital Digestive Care has raised more than $400,000 in donations to fund CCFA’s Mission to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, diseases that are known collectively as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD). Mr. Harlen also helps to shape decision making that impacts patients with IBD as a member of the CCFA Cost of IBD Task Force.
