Colon Cancer is the third leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States. But with early detection, colon cancer is 90% preventable. It is important to pay attention to your body and to see a doctor if you have symptoms that persist, such as blood in the stool. Although many patients are afraid of the colonoscopy procedure, having the procedure is important, because the majority of colon cancer patients have no symptoms.
