Surviving Cancer: A Celebration of Life

While today marks National Cancer Survivors Day, we are reminded of brave cancer survivors throughout the year. One special patient is Frenchettia Payne, who has allowed us to share her story.

15 years ago, Frenchettia was diagnosed with Stage III colon cancer. The discovery came as shocking news to the vibrant 38-year-old who had many other plans for her life. But, she dug in for a long fight and endured the rigors of more than two dozen chemotherapy treatments. In the end, she emerged victorious and was cancer-free.

Today Frenchettia credits her Capital Digestive Care physician with helping her through her recovery and she uses her experience to speak to others about the importance of colon cancer screening. In her words, “Get a colonoscopy, it saved my life and it could save yours as well!” To read more about Frenchettia and her battle against colon cancer, visit FCPayne.com.
