Dr. Stephen Humm of Capital Digestive Care has been chosen as a “Doctor of the Year” by MedStar Montgomery Medical Center. He was one of three physicians to receive the award at the Doctors’ Day luncheon on April 8th. Dr. Humm serves as a hospitalist at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center and Holy Cross Hospital. Having a hospital-based physician has allowed Capital Digestive Care to provide greater continuity to existing patients, as well as prompt attention for patients requiring gastroenterology evaluation for the first time.
Dr. Humm was specifically recognized for his tireless dedication to patient care. He was complemented for his compassionate bedside manner with patients and families. He was also described as an inspiration to his colleagues and staff for going “above and beyond” when working with the team at MedStar Montgomery Medical Center.
