Liz Warness is a board-certified family nurse practitioner with a background in nursing. While working as a nurse on a medical-surgical unit, Liz cared for patients facing a wide variety of acute and chronic conditions. It was there she recognized how many patients struggle to understand their diagnoses and discovered a deep passion for patient education, which ignited her ambition to become a medical provider.
Patient care is meaningful to Liz because, as someone who has been on the other side as a patient, she understands that seeking care can sometimes be daunting. She strives to create a safe, comfortable environment for her patients, where they feel heard regarding their medical concerns.
Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Liz gained experience in orthopedic/trauma medical-surgical nursing as a registered nurse. She graduated at the top of her class in her master’s program, and she was inducted into the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing.
When she is not working, Liz likes to spend time with her husband, two children, and dog. She also enjoys spending time outdoors, hiking, cooking, and reading.
