Biography
From an early age, Thao Le had an innate fascination with science and medicine. Inspired by her mother’s own desire to become a healthcare provider, Thao pursued a medical career and is a board-certified physician assistant practicing out of the Rockville, MD office. She has a special interest in the following areas:
- Colon cancer prevention
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease
- Hemorrhoid treatment
Prior to joining Capital Digestive Care, Thao held positions in urgent care and family medicine. As a young woman who experienced the woes of insufficient healthcare coverage firsthand, Thao is passionate about giving back and volunteers for various hospitals and underserved communities.
“My goal as a healthcare provider is to treat patients like my family. I pride myself on being approachable, listening to patients, and taking the time to answer their questions. Losing my stepfather to colon cancer propelled me to get involved in screening and preventive care, and I encourage all my patients to keep up with their wellness checkups.”
In her spare time, Thao enjoys spending time with her family, including sampling new cuisine every weekend with her husband and mother. When she is not playing outdoor sports with her family, Thao is exercising and traveling.
