Joyce Song is a certified physician assistant who focuses on building long-term relationships with patients, grounded in trust and understanding. She views caring for patients as a privilege – especially within the field of gastroenterology. Joyce knows that many concerns in this specialty are deeply personal and can profoundly affect a person’s quality of life, which makes the opportunity to help even more meaningful.
Before joining Capital Digestive Care, she performed diagnostic workups and suggested treatment plans for a wide range of GI conditions, including chronic diarrhea and constipation, IBS, inflammatory bowel disease, celiac disease, GERD, hepatobiliary disorders, pancreatic disorders, and anemia in the outpatient and inpatient setting at Duke.
In her free time, she loves to go to the gym, try new restaurants, watch movies, and spend time with her two cats.
