Dr. Margulies is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist who finds it fulfilling and rewarding to work in partnership with patients to provide exemplary care in the community where he grew up.
Dr. Margulies is interested in general gastroenterology and cares for a broad range of conditions involving the esophagus, stomach, small intestine, colon, and liver. He also performs screening and surveillance colonoscopies for colon cancer prevention. He first became interested in medicine while he was volunteering with wounded warriors at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center, where he saw the profound impact that physicians could have on their patients. Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Dr. Margulies was a gastroenterology and hepatology fellow at the University of Texas Medical Branch, where he served as chief fellow in his final year.
Outside the office, Dr. Margulies enjoys playing fetch with his dog, Carly, spending time with family, and golfing. A Maryland native, he is also an avid fan of the Washington Nationals and Commanders.
