Biography
A Florida transplant who has lived in Norfolk, VA for the past six years, family nurse practitioner Liana Porchie practices out of the Chesapeake, VA office. She is a lifelong learner who enjoys partnering with her patients using a holistic, shared decision-making approach.
After graduating cum laude from the University of South Florida with a bachelor of science in nursing, Liana went on to complete a master of science in nursing at Simmons University School of Nursing, where she completed her family nurse practitioner education and clinical training.
She joined Capital Digestive Care from Sentara Hospital in Virginia Beach, VA, where she worked in the intensive care unit. She also has experience in emergency and trauma nursing. As a family nurse practitioner, Liana enjoys supporting her patients fully and working as part of a care team to deliver personalized care to each patient.
“We are all unique and different individuals who need personalized care,” Liana said. “I believe in a holistic approach that focuses on patient’s overall wellness and educating patients to facilitate their autonomy in making decisions.”
In her spare time, Liana enjoys spending time with her husband, young daughter, and their three dogs.
