Biography
Dr. Harish Iyer is a fellowship-trained gastroenterologist. He specializes in colon cancer screening as well as management of inflammatory bowel disease and has extensive training in the diagnosis and management of esophageal diseases. He engages in a shared decision-making process with his patients, tailoring the treatment plans to the specific patient’s needs.
He has particular interest in the following conditions:
- Inflammatory bowel disease
- Colon cancer screening
- GERD
After earning his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) at Seth G S Medical College and KEM Hospital in India, Dr. Iyer earned his medical degree from West Midlands Deanery at Princess Royal Hospital, Telford, UK. He then completed residency training as well as a gastroenterology fellowship at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia, PA. While there, Dr. Iyer served as the chief resident for internal medicine.

Dr. Iyer is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (United Kingdom). He is also an ardent soccer fan.
