Biography
Cecilia Bardy-Gagner, FNP, discovered her passion for healthcare when she worked as a hospital volunteer, which inspired her to pursue a career in nursing. She began her career as a nursing assistant, working her way up to being a registered nurse. After working as a registered nurse in the endoscopy procedural suite of a medical center, she found a love for all things GI. Cecilia was inspired to further her education and develop her ability to help patients experiencing GI issues.
Today, Cecilia is a dedicated and compassionate nurse practitioner with specialized experience in GI and endoscopy services. She uses her extensive knowledge of GI illnesses, pathologies, screenings, and treatments, especially endoscopy-related interventions and procedures, to help patients using a holistic approach. She views the provider-patient relationship as a partnership.
After earning a bachelor’s degree in health and wellness from the University of Minnesota, Cecilia pursued a bachelor of science in nursing, followed by a master of science in nursing with a family nurse practitioner specialization. Before joining Capital Digestive Care, Cecilia worked in the endoscopy unit at Maryview Medical Center in Portsmouth, VA.
“I am passionate about forming lasting relationships and treating the whole patient. Achieving the highest level of health is a journey, and I am enthusiastic to partner with patients through the process,” Cecilia said.
Cecilia grew up in Minnesota and moved to Virginia in 2015. When she’s not in the office, she enjoys being outdoors, hiking, traveling, and spending time with her family.
