Biography

Brian Kirsh, MD is a talented and accomplished physician who is board certified in gastroenterology. He specializes in a vast range of digestive diseases with a special interest in GERD and IBD. Dr. Kirsh earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Indiana University and continued his education with a Doctor of Medicine from the Medical College of Ohio in Toledo, Ohio. Dr. Kirsh completed his Internal Medicine Residency at the University of Cincinnati Hospital and went on to complete a fellowship in Gastroenterology at the University of Illinois at Chicago Medical Center.

Prior to joining Capital Digestive Care, Dr. Kirsh worked as a staff gastroenterologist at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and also served as a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine at the Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine of Case Western Reserve University.

Dr. Kirsh was inspired to become a physician by his family – his father, uncle, and older brother are all physicians. He believes in an interactive, joint decision-making approach to patient care and works closely with his patients to decide on the best treatment plan together. In his spare time, Dr. Kirsh enjoys spending time with his family, hiking, biking, and other outdoor activities.
