Peter Kaufman, MD talks to Physicians Practice magazine about the benefits of e-prescribing. Peter Kaufman, MD is a physician with the Metropolitan Gastroenterology Group division of Capital Digestive Care. He is also chief medical officer for DrFirst, Inc., a developer of e-prescribing software and has been names to the ONCs Healthcare Standards IT Committee, a federal advisory committee that is charged with making recommendations to the National Coordinator for Health IT on standards, implementation specifications, and certification criteria for the electronic exchange and use of health information.
