Glen Dale Office Entrance

Capital Digestive Care is announcing a new location to serve residents in Prince George’s County. Beginning May 18th 2017, Dr. Ann Marie Stephenson will be seeing patients at 12150 Annapolis Road in Glenn Dale, Maryland.

Dr. Stephenson, who also sees patients in Capital Digestive Care’s Rockville location on Key West Avenue, is known for her strong commitment to patient education and community. She was recently appointed to Maryland’s State Board of Physicians, where she will have a voice in helping to assure quality health care through state licensing, credentialing and patient protections.

Dr. Stephenson is board certified in gastroenterology and internal medicine. She attended St. Joseph’s University and Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Her special areas of interest cover a wide range of illnesses including colorectal cancer screening, irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease and hepatitis. She is a member of the American College of Gastroenterology and the American Gastroenterological Association, as well as the American College of Osteopathic Internists.

Capital Digestive Care has been considering a new location for some time in response to Prince George’s County’s growing population, which has been underserved by medical specialists. The opening of the Glenn Dale office brings the number of our locations to 16 in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. This is in addition to our 13 hospital affiliations and 8 ambulatory surgical centers.

Founded in 2009, Capital Digestive Care’s more than 60 providers treat a wide range of digestive conditions – from heartburn to colon cancer. Our integrated health care model connects its doctors to both a specialized pathology laboratory and the largest clinical program of its kind in the region.
