Biography
Dr. Rubin was born and raised in Silver Spring, MD and, as such, feels a close bond with the community he serves. He has been recognized by his peers as a “Top Doctor” in Washingtonian from the first year he established his private practice, all the way to the present day. He takes particular interest in making patients feel comfortable and at ease during difficult or potentially anxious times and is frequently cited for his calming and cheerful bedside manner. When asked about this he said, “Given the nature of our specialty and the procedures we perform, patients are sometimes not particularly thrilled to be in our office. It’s my job to break through the barriers of fear and anxiety. A little humor, as well as taking the extra minute to listen to the patient, can go a long way in improving the patient’s experience, while simultaneously helping me hone in on their particular diagnosis. I try to picture every person as if they were my family member, and then treat them accordingly…that has been my personal philosophy since my first day of practice, and it’s an integral part of who I am as a physician.”

In his leisure time, Dr. Rubin enjoys the company of his two daughters, Amelia and Natalie, his wife, Carole Z. Rubin, MD, and his loyal yellow lab retriever, Jazzy. He is usually found listening to music, eating adventurous food, traveling, and rooting for the local DC sports franchises.
