Why Do People Choose Capital Digestive Care?
3. Better Care
Our integrated health care model connects our Gastroenterologists to both a specialized pathology laboratory and the largest clinical research program of its kind in the region. Our team of fellowship trained, board certified pathologists focuses exclusively on the diagnosis of gastrointestinal and liver disease and our clinical research division has conducted more than 300 studies in all areas of gastroenterology. With so many specialists, CONNECTED, communications are enhanced, leading to a better understanding of each patient's individual condition and the most effective plan of care.
2. Top Doctors
In 2010, 25 Capital Digestive Care physicians were recognized by their peers as "Top Doctors" in Washingtonian magazine, more than any other practice in the area.
With 16 office locations and affiliations with 8 outpatient endoscopy centers and 15 area hospitals, Capital Digestive Care easily offers the most accessible care in the region. Our physicians practice in Washington DC and Maryland, including, Montgomery County, Frederick County, Howard County and Prince George's County.
Our experience speaks for itself. We perform more than 30,000 colonoscopies each year, more than anyone else in the area. Our physicians maintain 30 academic appointments, have produced over 240 peer-reviewed publications and are actively involved in the development of quality management initiatives.
Our commitment to our patients extends beyond our office doors. Since 2009 we have supported the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America (CCFA) as the presenting sponsor for the National Capital Area Take Steps for Crohn's and Colitis walk. In addition to our corporate commitment, each of our divisions engages in fundraising activities, donating 100% of the proceeds to CCFA. To date, we have directed more than $150,000 to CCFA in support of critical education, research and awareness programs.
