A respected gastroenterologist and long-standing Medical Consultant to the Department of State Medical Division and the White House, Dr. O’Kieffe performed the area’s first colonoscopy in 1972. He has been consistently recognized by his peers as a "Top Doctor" in Washingtonian magazine, including in the most recent issue. Dr. O'Kieffe has served on several committees of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE) and he is the current ASGE Delegate to the American Medical Association.
Married with three children, Dr. O’Kieffe enjoys golf, skiing, jogging and travel and is active in his community, serving on the Development Board of the Washington Episcopal School.
