Doctor Peter N. Kaufman Named Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association

​Peter N. Kaufman, MD has been named Fellow of the American Gastroenterological Association (AGA), the nation’s oldest medical society dedicated to disorders of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract. Fellowships are awarded to AGA members whose accomplishments and contributions demonstrate personal commitment to the field of gastroenterology. Through the fellowship program, the AGA honors superior professional achievement in clinical private or academic practice and in basic or clinical research.

​Dr. Kaufman received his medical education and training at The George Washington University School of Medicine and Health Sciences. In addition to digestive health, he also holds a strong interest in medical informatics – in other words, using computers for medical data. He has spoken nationally on high-interest issues such as gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD), virtual colonoscopy and patient use of the internet for medical information.
